7 Tips to Quit Smoking Now
Quitting is not easy. Yet the only way to rediscover the inspiration and heart of your 20 years. Here are some tips to help you overcome your cravings without stress or nervousness.
- On the eve of D-Day: Locate and remove all your accessories smoking (cigarettes, lighters, ashtrays …). Schedule your next day in order to have the least possible downtime. Avoid all situations that were previously associated with smoking: the coffee break between smoking, coffee after the meals, invitations to dinner with friends smoking.
- Be patient with the shortcomings. The key to successfully quitting smoking smooth is that when you crave a cigarette, wait a few minutes – a nicotine withdrawal usually lasts three to five minutes. Do something instead of smoking, like chewing gum or drinking water.
- Try to avoid triggers that increase your desire to smoke, such as alcohol and coffee. Change your habits. Prefer to drink tea instead of coffee, juice orange juice rather than beer … At work, avoid if possible take your rest among the smokers you avoid temptation. Your colleagues and friends will understand your decision to quit.
- Fill your fridge with fresh vegetables: carrot, cauliflower, tomatoes … When the urge to smoke you take, bite into an apple or nibble a carrot! You do not transform rodent and some days you’ll feel much fitter with full of greenery and vitamin C.
- To fight against stress and nervousness listen to music that soothes you, take a bath, do yoga or relaxation exercises, practice a sport.
